After a heavy party night on the Saturday, there wasn't many takers for a caving trip on Sunday morning :( .
Mainly due to hangovers, lack of kip and the fact that the weather was shite!!!
So in the end it was down to Pete and Myself to boldly go forward and go and do a trip, what we ended up doing was a slightly wet, Selll Gill dry route. :woohoo:
Although there was a small waterfall on all three pitches it was good fun and very sporting , having dropped the last pitch we went to have a look at the waterfall coming down the wet route. The only trouble being that it was so powerfull and so much spray coming at you that you could not even look at it.
From there we made our way down into the main chamber, which was just a deluge of flowing water, we followed this down stream to the first duck at which point we decided to get wet and go for it :woohoo:. Must say it was a lot harder getting back through it as the force of water just kept washing you back in, once through it and back in the main chamber it was just a case of making our way back up some wet pitches
Trip time 1hr20

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
