Back on Leck Fell again today to have a look at the new connection into Nott's 2. Went in Boxhead and did the high level route through towards Lyle Cavern, from there we made our way towards the new connection. After climbing up through the boulder choke and dropping through a couple of squeezes it was then mainly crawling through a variety of situations to eventually pop out into Notts 2 streamway.
From there it was just the steady stroll to back out to the surface.
Trip time 3hrs
Phil Baker, Marcus Evans, Lee Langdon, Keith Mason

For the record, I assume this was with a Masson permit.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
