Having done the other new connection the day before, we decided to drop Death's Head to go and have a look at the other connection thats just been opened.
Lot easier going than the other one and pretty soon we found ourselves at the short pitch into the streamway, having dropped this we then went down stream to the Gavel Sump before going back up stream as far as the lake. As we didn't fancy getting wet through and having already seen the other side before from Lost John's, we decided to turn round and make our exit.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
