As there was a large number of people for this trip :) we decided to split into smaller groups, as our group set off down a pre rigged Titan i was first down and once at Event Horizon I set up a pull through so i could Ab over and wait there to talk a few people through the change over manouver.
Once the 5 of us were at the bottom, we took off SRT kit as it would not be needed again :) then we set off on the steady plod through to the bottom of JH.
Once at the Bottom of Leviathon, we stopped for a food break before dropping down through the Boulder Piles. Before heading off down the Speedwell Canal we had a quick detour up to Main Rising and the Miners Toasts, then it was off to make our way to the Bung (not too wet this time ) once down the Bung we did the short bypass and the climb up Egnaro Aven to reach to start of Colostomy Crawl
After the Joys of this lovely crawl and the muddy Trenches we soon found ourselves in the Upper Gallery, from this point it was just a steady plod out, but at this point some of us decided to to a little side trip up into Neil Moss Chamber and Anniversary Hall before finally making our way out.
Trip time 6hrs30
Samantha Mason, Emma Beecroft, Julie Butcher, Paul Horner, Keith Mason
Side trip to Moss Chamber
Stu Weston, Pete James, Paul Horner, Keith Mason

As there were several groups then Im sure others will post there own accounts of the day :)

There is a cave king name of Keith,
Organised a Peak's trip with belief,
He could get us down Titan,
Not to scare but enlighten,
And to find it all true what relief!

Missed out the references to Bruce (Good Game Good Game) Forsyth and Jim (Bullseye) Bowen.

What a laugh, had to stop in colostomy crawl because I was crying with laughter.

Cheers Guys - great trip :P

Fantastic experience.
stood at the edge of the window looking at the gloomy vastness was a sight no picture could capture, then the initial leap of faith off the edge and onto my cowstails :pinch: .
enjoyed the rest of the trip down , although keith said he could see my arse nipping as I approached event horizon :cheer: , .
thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the trip including the detour to Moss cavern.
the veiw of the visitor entrance to peak is an awesome site especialy with the birds flying in and out, it was like a scene from jurastic park.

loved it. although the thought of a prussik out is daunting.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
