As the weather was a bit shite, we fancied somewhere we could get straight in so opted for a P8 trip.
Climbed into the High Level Route before the 1st pitch and then dropped this from out the roof, this kept us out the water and also by-passed the group of novices descending the pitch from the stream level.
We then dropped the old ladder pitch and made our way down to the sump, which was backed up a fair way.
Then we made our way up into Ben's Dig and had a good ferret around in all the bits up there before heading back out. Once up both pitches we carried on at high level to drop back down before Idiot's Leap, thus missing out most of the Streamway.
As we popped out onto the surface it was evident it had snowed whilst we were underground, add to this the howling gale, and it made for a very cold walk back and changing session.
Trip time 2hrs
Column Waslh, Lee Langdon, Keith Mason

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
