After months of saying I was going to do this I finally got two others (Susan and Alex) to join me and we headed off to right the high level traverse inside valley entrance. Things got off to a rocky start when we realised that I had forgotted to put the carabiners I had collected in the car but we managed to scrape up 15 or so and headed into the cave!
Alex wanted to start the rigging so he went first and Susan, who wanted to derig, went last leaving me in the middle having a free ride!

Obviously not having enough crabs to rig the whole thing we derigged as we went and my job mostly consisted of hurling abuse/advice (depends on your point of view) while delivering crabs that Susan had derigged to Alex so he could keep going.
At this stage I must commend Alex on his stubbourness because at one stage I thought he was going to collaspse. The look of pain on his face as he pulled himself up to one of the bolts was something to behold. But he got us all the way to the traverse without incident! I rigged the last little bit but to be honest I felt like just stepping down into the streamway for most of it.
It took us about 2 and a half hours to get to the end of the traverse and less than 30 min to get from the end back out. I had a super easy day and even got to carry out the empty tackle bag - wohoo! Well with a trip if you want to practice traverses!
