This was the final send off for Jim Eyres who died earlier this year the aim was too fold.
1- Raise Money for the CRO by auctioning Jim's Cartoons & other Items.
2- A chance for all cavers and friends gathered to celebrate Jim’s life.We had a fantastic evening & most of us managed to get an aproprate cartoon - Glad to say the one I purchased was well received & has been sent for framing.
The inn was packed for the auction and Dave Ryall did a fantastic job in auctioning a large selection of Jim’s cartoons. Thank you Dave. Total raised on the night was £1534 which his brother Ron has forwarded on to the Cave Rescue Organisation.
Thanks also to the New Inn for providing supper, and to all of you who gave so generously on this special night in remembrance of Jim.
