You would never imagine that digging in the pub car park because no where else is available because of foot and mouth would of deserved such a jewel. This was my first trip down this cave a 10ft ladder leads to a hands and knees crawl (some times flat out it is Mendip) for 30m until you reach a large chamber with fine decorations. After some more crawling and climbs a 70ft pitch is reached which is exciting with a 50ft ladder. At the bottom a crawl leads to a small lake which quickly leads to passage big enough to be in South Wales. After a Fergal we were soon back on the surface and as it’s next to the pub a pint or two.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
