Wednesday 13th June – Third days digging on the trot, This time Lugger,Sp8, two other OAPs and one man and is dog, This time we carried all yesterdays equipment minus the sump pumps, but plus five scaffold boards and one length of scaffold up Newby Moss to this newly extended Pot, Whilst Sp8 ( assisted by Phil ) drilled and prepared to ****g – lugger secured the scaffold and fixed the boards, We all evacuated the hole, and listened to a very satisfying loud noise.
Back next week to clear out and repeat. Trip Time 4 Hours
We then went over to Ligit Pot, a new hole that had only last week been extended down a 25m Pitch.

Score - New Pot 1 Diggers 1 – note Caves and Pots all have home advantage

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
