As we had all arived at the school for 6.30 and the weather was pants 
, we opted for a Sell Gill Dry route. As we set of for Horton we came across our first obstacle, which was a flooded section of road so after leaving Stu's car we all climbed in the truck and carried on. As we turned in to the lane by the side of the Crown we thought we were driving up the river 
but we pressed on and managed to get as far as the little ford that is normally no more than a trickle, but was now a raging torrent with more water just streaming down the road into it. At this point we turned round and went to have a look at Alum and the Churns just to see how impressive it was, and believe me it was!!!!!. After all that excitment the pub seemed like a good idea
