Present: (our team) Damian; Susan (navigating;) Alex W; Paul H; GordonA
Trip time Approx. 4 hours?

On my way to the hut I called at Inglesport to buy a Simple and telephoned to see if anyone else wanted anything. Stuart told me where to go ! (We had permits for Easegill to use). So we set up a meet at Bull Pot farm at 10:30
This only being 9:15 I still had an hour to wait.
I decided (after 3 years of caving)it was time to buy a Simple. ..... There still being 55 minutes left, then I also decided an omelette would be a good investment too.

Met everyone at BPFm and joined Damian’s team so that there was an even 5 people on each team. We set off from the cars at approx. 11am on the longish walk to the start.

Had a great time exploring. I was impressed how Susan was able to remember so many bits of the cave.
I had n’t got a clue.
- It seemed like a great team effort between Susan, Damian and Alex to work out all the different routes.

We also decided to make it longer by going to Easter grotto too. :)

We met the other team halfway so I think both teams were enjoying a bit of 'getting to know the cave'.

After wearing our SRT kits all the way round we eventually used them to prussik up two small pitches to get out.
….and so I did n’t get to use my brand new Simple after all!

Ah well maybe another trip midweek will sort it!

Another grand day out in the Dales.

A big thank you to all on the day. :)

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
