After much deliberation it was decided that Yordas would be the destination for a Sunday trip.

After a swift walk up the hill Alex W swung into action to rig the first middle entrance pitch whilst PJ gave some rope safety lessons to Nathan.
Meanwhile Susan and I had a walk up to the top to look at the top entrance (where I took the opportunity to take photo's of spider webs :) ).
After coming back down I dropped into the cave to watch, in admiration, Paul G's spider-man technique as he rigged the High level traverse , When he was half way the rope free signal was called and Pete kindly let me go next, Putting all my skill , training and strength into practice I made my way across followed by Pete then Susan. Feeling Quite proud of myself as I got soaked descending to the bottom we stopped for 10 min rest then I was the first to do it all again , in reverse !. Pete de-rigging on way back.
meanwhile Alex was Giving Nathan SRT training as this was his first time Prussiking,

A great afternoon and I have the bruises and aching limbs to prove it  .

As Alex and Susan went to pack for Egypt, the rest of us settled for refreshment at Inglesport cafe.

Attended ; Alex W. Susan B. Pete J, Paul G, Paul H, Nathan H

it was indeed a fine trip since ive never been above the water fall in yordas  i had decided before going that i wanted to rig the traverse but couldn't find a rigging guide so armed with a 60mtr rope and ALL the mallions from the celler i did it blind B) at the end of the traverse i looked at the deviation then looked down and thought id miss it as the drop looked ok ;) , well it was apart from the last 8 feet it made for a nice wet landing and ive never seen people prussik so fast to get out of the water

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
