It was a most excellent trip, with 4 caving trips in all for me (Not including a show cave sortie). Despite there only being 4 of us this venture was a success as the main objective the True Mile - Pont Blanque through trip was completed by all of us successfully in 14 hours. This is a trip that consisted of around 20 pull through pitches and many climbs dropping over 600 meters before climbing back out about 200m, with some truly "awesome" (according to Dan) traverses along the way.

The Felix Thrombe system is a bit like a Welsh cave, only alot bigger, less crawling and quite a bit more vertical development. A truely excellent system and is a pity no one else could join us.

127 pictures on Facebook, there may be a trip report from one of us.

Excellent stuff. At the risk of being annoying, it's "Trombe".

It's a silent 'h' lol, corrected my Facebook albums this morning so thanks. I guess that is what happens when you have not slept much in the last 48 hours and do a log entry. Extra letters creep in despite me, copying the name out of my book!

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
