Plan to have a trip down Boundary Pot abandond due to rain, the path to BPOTW was a series of rapids that would have made a testing Olympic kyaking course. Up early due to students all night frivolities at Bull pot farm (some interesting Xmas party games on display) and keen to get underground bagged up for Lancaster Hole. I have a need to visit Cape Kennedy Chamber in the EPC '71 series so off went trudged through the rain leaving students to clean BPF.

A day we were glad to get underground, a steady stream of water falling down the entrance pitch, giving us a good clean on the way out. I have not been along the upper level before so this trip was of interest, we could hear the water in the main drain before we got to Fall pot. Down the tricky rope climb, the water levels were lower than expected we continued along the large passage. Montague East was excellent fun clinging to the mud as we traversed by the gaping holes in the floor, some interesting climbs all endorsed with mud.

Arrived at Stake pot, Brian descends the rope and has a look below, i got half way down and backed off, too muddy for my liking that particular day, Brian had a quick look at the continuing passage the other side of Montage East (Bobs boss etc).
Made our way out in good time, this trip was a contrast to Saturday giving the battered knees a well earned rest, always a pleasure to get into this system i will have to man up if i am to visit Cape Kennedy though

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
