Nice easy trip up to Birkwith area before the bonfire - two new guys (Matt and Mark) to show around.
Calf holes was rigged with ladder and ropes - we all went in Browgill - and came out Calf Holes.
Matt was still up for it, so three of us went back down and headed for Browgill, going through the letter box with SRT kit was interesting, I went through fine, just my gear that didnt, most of which ended around my ears.

Rejoined the gang and went into Old Ing, Matt was still up for it so Alex and me took him into Birkwith for a swim in the canal.

great trips even if i did do a meat loaf :laugh: :laugh:

we also did a meat loaf after the exit of each cave

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
