Anthony fancied a trip in Christmas Pot, since it is so much more spacious than it's neighbour Grange Rigg!
So once the entrance was located, it looks a lot different now due to a large plastic tube set in a stone wall which is the newly constructed way in (note to self; should have read that copy of descent before the trip, rather than when we got back), with CARE over some loose rocks near the pitch head and we had a nice steady trip to the bottom, admiring the pretty bits along the way.
All went well despite their best attempts at bombarding me with rocks while rigging and derigging!

Trip time 3 1/2 hours. Plus the walk in/ out.
Those along, Anthony Mathews, Claire Lee, Stu W.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
