Boggarts Roaring Holes: 8th December

Mindful of possible snow melt during the day, we opted for a nice wet-weather alternative. I was the only one who'd been to Boggarts before, so it seemed like a good bet.

Unfortunately Emma didn't have her "tight" head on and decided to go back to the car when she got to the bottom of the 2nd pitch. The rest of us had an uneventful, but pleasant trip to the bottom making it back in good time for mulled wine and curry.

Party: Rich, Susan, Emma & Damian
Time: 3hrs 45mins

Super trip with interest and variety throughout; it’s just a shame it ends rather unremarkably.

Only done it once, but it is one I would go back to. As you say Rich it is a pity there is no caving as such when you drop the last pitch

The slide show in the evening made it look a bit tight and ghastly for my liking, well done for getting to the bottom, the question is... where were your santa outfits?

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
