The sun made a welcome appearance for the long overdue Beecroft family's return to our roots (see grid ref SD 799 726) :cheer:

Saturday saw a walk from the hut to Pen-y-ghent and Plover Hill, returning via Hunt Pot and Hull pot and an ice cream in Horton B)

An early start on Sunday meant 'only' a 3 hour wait for the winch down GG, with a dash up Ingleborough with my cousin to fill the time, while my parents watched Rich/Keith/Ales head down Corky's.

This was followed by Rich making donuts while me/Peter/Ales joined the Hades gang climbing at Settle.

By Monday the sun had disappeared, so it was time for a quick trip in Valley Entrance before the rain arrived.

Ales swears that the part about wedding party is not his job! :)

Rich, the donuts were delicious, they have to go to the next newsletter!

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
