Jingling Kingsdale
Team: Paul G,Ruth & Jordan S, Gordon A
Sat 22nd June 2013
Weather : Heavy rain overnight and on Saturday morning. (So much so that I thought it would be called off. Or only leave Selgill or BPTW or even the climbing wall for practice).
Fortunately Ruth and Jordan arrived on time as planned on Saturday at 9:30 wanting to cave. So the trip was on. Paul decided Bull Pot might be possible even in this lousy weather.
On arriving at the parking spot in Kingsdale Paul asked if 'I had my 40m on me?'. Which I had. He suggested Jingling might be a possibility. Ruth was very keen to do this and so was I. So Jingling it was then.
The rain was bouncing off the cars whilst we got changed but then eased off and stopped by the time we set off.
When we got there Paul bravely rigged down the new route ,opposite the trees, down 10m across the very slippery, exposed traverse and then down to the lateral cleft. (Under the trees).
Seemed pretty straightforward after this?!....... All descended to the bottom.......... Then back out to sort of sunshine with Paul de-rigging as well.
Great day out. It was really good to get this under my belt after all these years. Especially when we thought we were only going to get some lesser caves in due to the bad weather.
Ruth got a particularly good photo on Facebook.

But some great photos in general by Paul and Ruth of a grand day out.
Highly recommended.
Big thank you to Paul for organising &rigging. Especially that traverse!
Trip time 4 hours?
