As Gary fancied getting out and doing something in the Peak District, we thought we would start him off with an easy one
After getting changed and walking over to the entrance it was nice to get underground as it was warmer than being on the surface, made our way to Garlands Pot which we rigged for SRT, once at the bottom we all dropped our SRT kits off and started to make our way down the Crabwalk. From the bottom of there we made our way up to the Eating House and started on the first climb up to make our way towards the Giant's Windpipe, stopping of on the way to show Gary the connection to the COH's. After all the rain it was a nice surprise to find the Windpipe had a lot of airspace in it........think Gary enjoyed it
All that was left then was the high level route back to Garlands Pot and our exit into a very cold and windy night, thus prompting a quick change back into dry clothes

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
