Got an invite to go to Tatham Wife Hole with some ULSA lasses, which was soon extended to rope packer, taxi driver, rigger and derigger. And as none of the ULSA contingent had been before, I also had to locate said hole for them! Fortunately the remains of a dry stone wall points the way so the entrance was duly located.

Alex Ritchie’s account of North Branch Inlet was a difficult sell (read about it here www.blackrosecc.org.uk/reports/index.html and you’ll see why) so it was just a straight forward trip to the sump. Despite little rain over the preceding few days there was still enough water to make it slightly sporting so those in the know climbed over the duck, whilst the others got wet. :)

Not wanting to be late back to the school for Emma, I denied the party their post caving cheesy chips, only to see on the board that Emma had gone off caving and then didn’t get back for another hour after us! That’s one in the bank for next time.
