As Gary missed this trip last time and it was going to be derigged, I arranged for it to be left rigged to give Gary a chance to do it.
Only downside was that we would have to do the derigg, so with a turnout of 6 this time we split into a 2 and a 4 with Lee and Howard opting to go in via Oxlow. Which left the rest of us to head up to Maskhill, by the time we had got down to the bottom of the entrance pitch Lee and Howard were already waiting to make their exit. This left the rest of us with a steady trip to the bottom of Maskhill and a steadier trip out of Oxlow. There was an up side to this trip as in the end we were asked to leave it rigged for some SUSSEX members who wanted to go in for a picnic
Trip time 45mins
Lee Langdon, Howard Whittaker
Trip time 2hrs30
Gary Bertola, Sarah Traveller, Olly King, Keith Mason

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
