After a short drive over to Burrington Combe we were soon parked up and changed ready for Sundays trip, This was going to be a through trip between Rods Pot and Bath Swallet. First job was to pop into Bath Swallet and drop a ladder down the first pitch, once that was sorted we made our way over to Rods Pot. With Bean leading the trip and taking on a few little detours and side trips to get the most from the cave, we then started making our way through to Bath Swallet which included a fair mix of passage and pretty soon we were at the bottom of Bath Swallet. From there all that was left was the ladder climb up the pitch and a short crawl and climb to reach the surface.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
