Decided to take Gary on another Derbyshire Classic with a through trip from Gentle Woman's to Yould's Level. After meeting up in the car park at Artists Corner and sorting clothes etc out, or so we thought, we set off on the 10min drive and the short walk to the entrance. All went well and very soon we were all sat at the bottom of the entrance pitch were we took SRT kit of and fastened it to the tackle bag. Route finding went well and pretty soon we were in Overseer's Chamber and nearly at the two squeezes, we had to dig the 1st one out a bit to get through but the 2nd was easier. All that was left then was lots of entertaining passage and the infamous Coffin Level before we made our exit behind the toilets in the car park. Bit unfortunate for Gary as his dry clothes were in his car and his keys were in my car up at the entrance, so Col and me went back to retrieve the rope and SRT kits and take Gary his keys.
Trip time 2hrs
Colum Walsh, Gary Bertola, Keith Mason

They say things happen in threes so after the oversuit at the weekend and car keys this time, I wonder what will be next?

I managed to forgot my gloves twice on Sunday, I left them in the drying room when off caving and left them there again when I left for home haha!

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
