Kingsdale master cave 8/2/14

This weekend so Michelle ( from try caving weekend ) and Carolina ( Guest ) coming to the school for a trip, due to the lovely weather that we are having in the Dales it was decided to go into valley and down to the master cave for a splash about

once parked up and one vehicle rescued we all got kitted up quickly then headed for the entrance , once inside it was the wonderful crappy trip through to the pitch down into the master cave. We quickly set up srt rope and ladders and everyone was soon down the pitch some buy ladder and other abseiling down.

There was a lot of water down there and water coming in from places I hadn’t seen before this all made for a sporting but fun trip up to the junction before turning round and heading back out

Back on the surface it was a quick change before heading to Bernie’s were it was just as cold for hot drinks and chips

Trip time? We were having too much fun to notice

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
