Since me and Shezi have never been to Jingling, we took a quick decision on Friday evening and packed up the ropes for Jingling.

We manage to get to the cave at around 8 and Stuarts rigs the Little gully route. The trip goes fairly steadily down to the bottom where Stuart tells us that it's 10pm! Well, I'm a bit surprised that we were SO slow so we try to rush on the way out to get to the pub at reasonable time. Luckily it's me who derigs so in one hour we are stood at the cave entrance under a million starts, gently illuminating the whole Kingsdale valley. The ground is quite crispy which means nothing else that the temperature still approaches zero.

We get quickly changed and once I hop into the car I see that the clock says 22:10!!! It looks like we've travelled in time...or Stuart was just too thirsty...

Trip time: 1:45
Party: Ales, Shezi & Stuart

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
