Tagged onto an Orpheus trip for our midweek outing this week, with a trip beyond the gated stuff in Bagshaw. 6 of us all together including our official Eldon guide, once through the gate it was pretty much crawling for a while along very well decorated passage. Several little chambers on the way and pretty soon we were at Moose's Revenge, from there we made our way through the dig to get into Madame Guillotine. From there we turned round and started to make our way back out, still plenty of stuff to look at so I'm sure a return trip will be on the cards.
Trip time 2hrs
Jon Pemberton, Jason Blackwell, Ewan Roach, Sarah Traveller, Gary Bertola, Keith Mason

I went down Bagshaw in 1969 with the owners son. The party consisted of the Wheeldon Mill C,C, and my Mum. Goodness knows where we went as we had no survey which was unusual as Monty Grainger of the Peak Cave Survey Group was a part owner of the cave. we floudered abut for 4 hours beyond the small tourist section.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
