In response to Nigel's article and Ales comment here, I will have to report that I was dragging a tackle bag and pushing along our new novice S.P. Hopper. The fact that 'NO Bags Nigel' forgot the other one and made Shezi go back out for it was not going to be reported, but now you've asked for it Nige!!!
Cracking llittle trip which was new to many of the party, still not sure why Hoppitty came along but we did get some strange looks from the 1000's of 3 Peaks walkers, quite a few took photo's but not many asked us why? Truth be know we were not sure ourselves.
Poor Hopmeister - he survived the trip to the bottom and back out only to get thoroughly deflated on the walk back down.
We now have a new grading system for cave passage size - ie will a space hopper fit along it. These will be known as SPH accessible trips and are quite comfortable roomy trips.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
