\"Well we can just go in and see how far we get.\"

We did all of Cartgate and most of Bitch Pitch. I'd heard this was difficult to get off, and there has been some collapse recently which has removed some floor. So I used the new anchor on the approach, and put in an etrier to give a stance for the Y-hang, and added a nice big loop in the rebelay. Then we didn't have enough rope to reach the next Y-hang anchors! Decided to leave it there for the time being. Bloody windy on the surface.

Look forward to returning and getting to the cave bit.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
