A short trip to reacquaint myself with the wonders of OBJ hole. There are no wonders, though there is mystery ;)

Suffice to say nothing of interest occurred but despite a very deep funk of anti-cave feeling, I enjoyed overcoming the struggles and the challenges and can once again say with pride that I go caving.

I tried that trip not too long ago and came unstuck when I found it was not p-anchored for some reason and ended up doing Flood instead. The first pitch had a natural anchor but I found it easier to free climb, however the second pitch had nothing natural if I just used the first rope pitch it would have been mucho rope rub.

About

There are many club organised caving weekends, with a mixture of easy and difficult caving.  Over the past few years we have given lots of people the opportunity to experience caving with our "Try Caving" events.  These are quite popular and quite a few people have subsequently joined the club. We have YSS members caving most weekends so it is easy for new cavers to tag onto the easier caving trips and find people to help with more training.
